Carpet Cleaning Tips To Make Rug Scrubbing Easier

If you are going to try cleaning the carpet on your own, then it is good that you read this article that describes some great carpet cleaning tips and tricks.  The first thing to look for is the equipment you are going to be using.  I am not a fan of those rug doctors because they really do not have a lot of power.  Instead go to a janitorial shop and rent a larger steam cleaning machine.  Those are around 50-70 bucks but will do a much better job. Also make sure that it is the right type for the carpet you want to clean.   To be sure you can call the manufacture or the store you bought the carpet from.  So, there are some precautions that must be taken before you carpet clean. The use of wrong carpet cleaning solutions can damage the carpet badly. For example you would not use steam cleaning solution in place of shampoo for carpet buffering.  Just buy the solution from the janitorial store were you are renting the equipment.

The first step is to remove all furniture from the room, even the heavy stuff that has not been moved in years at the time when you have everything gathered together. The carpet beneath may appear dirt free, but there will be a build if dust since the vacuum cleaner probably has not got to it as well. As soon as the room is empty, the first of the carpet cleaning tips call for a thorough vacuuming of the rug. Run the vacuum cleaner both ways on the floor to be cleaned to insure all dust and loose dirt is gone before using the cleaning equipment.

Spray detergent lightly over heavy traffic areas to help loosen ground in dirt and pre-treat any areas with a heavy concentration of dirt or on stains. A good carpet cleaning tip is to pre-treat heavily stained areas with a detergent before the equipment is turned on.

Be tightfisted With Water Flowing onto Carpeting

Almost every floor cleaning device uses water to dispense the detergents onto the rug. Steam cleaners will use the most water on the carpet. Read all the directions first before starting the carpet cleaning machine.  Another simple carpet cleaning tip is you  should start in one corner and slowly work your way over the entire surface of the carpet. Using only as much water as required dampening the carpet. If you use a large amount of water, then it may cause the room to be out of use for a long time and you may not use the room for quite an amount of time.

You should turn 90-degrees and go over the carpet a second time when you are finished with the entire floor. This is a good tip as for the cleaning of the carpets. If still some stains remains there, you need to do it again on that area. Use the vacuum part of the equipment to pick up as much moisture out of the rug as possible, once you are satisfied with the way the carpeting looks. Make sure that when you are putting the furniture back into the place from where it was moved, after the water is made dry completely.
